We select all our materials with care and attention, we choose only those that are environmentally sustainable, non-animal origin, and recyclable at the end of their life.
What makes WAO sneakers even more unique is our commitment to properly dispose of them at the end of their life cycle. We’ll collect your sneakers at no additional cost!
Lining, laces, insole and hemp will become soil, Econyl will be recycled, while the sole will be put in a special compost to be degraded and reused as organic material.
THE CERTIFICATIONS THAT MAKE THE DIFFERENCE
It is not possible to talk about sustainable fashion without certifications.
The “Animal Free Fashion” certification concerns the WAO brand, while the remaining certifications concern our sustainable materials.
The packaging is also sustainable: it is made from FSC certified paper: one part recycled and the other coming from responsible forests.
